No Time to Lose at IOSH 2019

No Time to Lose will be presented and exhibited at the Institution of Occupational Safety Health’s (IOSH) international conference ‘IOSH 2019’ on 16–17 September at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham.

At IOSH 2019, safety and health professionals from around the world will discover fresh ideas that will revitalise their approach to safety and health management, develop skills and competencies to raise standards in worker protection at work, be energised and motivated by leading thinkers and inspirational figures from the world of safety and health, and more.

The No Time to Lose track session, ‘The global fight to save lives from occupational cancer’, will be on day two (17 September) of the conference.

During the session:

– Dr Diana Gagliardi, OSH expert and Chair of the ICOH Scientific Committee on Occupational Health and Development, will share a global perspective on occupational cancer;

– we’ll show a video of Meso-warriors Mavis and Ray Nye’s story of how mesothelioma has affected their lives;

– IOSH President and Head of Corporate Safety at MTR Corporation Professor Vincent Ho will explain how he implemented the pledge in his organisation and put in place a strategy to protect employees from carcinogenic exposures;

– and IOSH Public Relations Manager Simon Butt-Bethlendy will provide tips on how to run the NTTL campaign in your organisation and show the impact of the crucial work you are supporting.

You can also find out more about No Time to Lose on the IOSH stand, where you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about the campaign and share the steps you’ve taken to help tackle occupational cancer.
