Campaign launch highlights
Our launch event on 3 November 2014 brought together industry leaders, cancer charities, MPs, regulators and professional bodies to raise awareness and share experiences of preventing occupational cancers. IOSH called for joint action to help beat work-based cancer.
New solar radiation research and resources launch
IOSH launched new research and resources on solar radiation exposure on 23 April 2015 at the Royal Mail Group head office, in London.
The launch brought together senior stakeholders from across industry to highlight the scale of the issue and to share experiences of managing the risks. IOSH also showcased new free resources which have been designed to be used as part of an effective safety and health management programme.
Raising awareness of silica dust exposure – roundtable discussion
Experts from across UK industry debated how to collectively tackle silica dust exposure at work. The discussion, facilitated by IOSH, took place at The Shard in London, on 14 March 2016.
IOSH also launched free practical materials to help businesses engage and inform the workforce about this important topic.
Working together to tackle asbestos-related cancer
On Monday 09 April, IOSH launched the fourth phase of its No Time to Lose campaign, focusing on asbestos.
Key experts and stakeholders attended the event at BMA House in London to hear how IOSH plans to raise awareness of exposure to asbestos – the most deadly carcinogen in workplaces.
At the event, IOSH also launched free practical materials to help business raise awareness of asbestos and how to manage it.
