Communication Workers Union

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) will work with IOSH and employers to ensure that workers are protected from cancer risk.

The CWU is the largest trade union in the communications industry representing a quarter of a million workers, many of whom face potential occupational cancer risks, for example sunlight/UV ray exposure, asbestos, diesel fumes etc. Cancer is, by far, the biggest workplace killer, yet it is preventable. That’s why the CWU fully supports and very much welcomes the ‘No Time to Lose’ campaign to beat occupational cancer – aimed at eliminating or protecting workers from the root causes.
