  • No Time to Lose to be showcased in Balkans

    Business leaders in the Balkans will be encouraged to support IOSH’s No Time to Lose campaign at a series of workshops across the region.

    IOSH is showcasing the campaign at six events, starting in Ohrid, Macedonia today. It will also be highlighted at two events in Montenegro, and one each in Kosovo, Serbia and Albania.

  • UK urged to adopt ‘active’ approach to fire safety in tower blocks

    The UK must revise its approach to fire safety in tower blocks and follow other countries in also adopting ‘active’ measures, such as sprinklers, a leading safety body said today.

    Ahead of the first hearing in the Grenfell Tower public inquiry, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) urged the inquiry to investigate UK housing providers’ reliance on compartmentation for high-rises – the use of fire-resistant walls and floors to stop the spread of a fire.
