Two farmers killed in 2 days in run up to Farm Safety Week

Farm Safety Week 2017

As we prepare for Farm Safety Week (starts on Monday 24 until 28 July) the sad news in the media is that 2 farmers have been killed in 2 days – one a 33-year-old man who died after becoming trapped under a trailer in Devon, the other an incident in Essex on 19 July. HSE has also just notified us of a farmer killed by a cow in a cattle crush on 7 July. More details will be posted soon.

These will include case studies and ‘Top Tips’ on Machinery, ATVs and Transport; Working at Heights and Stacking; Livestock and Children on Farms. IOSH will also be covering ill health, planning and dealing with emergencies, and ‘Next Steps’.
