Welcome from the Executive Committee of the South Coast Branch.

Welcome to the web pages of the South Coast Branch of IOSH. On behalf of the Executive Committee we hope you will find our site helpful, informative and a good way of staying in touch with the Branch other IOSH activities and that you are encouraged to come along to the branch meetings to meet us and get the best out of your membership.

The ethos of the Branch is to support its members in their professional activities and to encourage professional development. To this end the South Coast Branch holds monthly meetings, this year at a new venue (Macdonald Botley Park Hotel) identified to improve you meeting experience.

Meetings run monthly from September though to July, where members can meet and network over refreshments in an informal friendly atmosphere. The meetings alternate between a 14:00hr start one month and a 19:00hr start the following month as it is acknowledged some members may not be able to attend afternoon meetings or equally some may not be able to attend evening meeting.

Whilst our meetings are primarily for IOSH members they are also open to visitors, anyone with an interest in health and safety.

Topics and presentations are driven by request from members’ current issues and access to notable presenters. These provide those attending with opportunities to develop or fine tune their health and safety knowledge and skills and to influence our program.

I am supported in my role as Branch Chair by an active, supportive and enthusiastic Executive Committee of volunteers who work hard as a Team to benefit members and provide support with their development, please come along meet us and get involved we have a raft of experience form consultants, company directors to past and present HSE inspectors.

I have been on the IOSH committee for many years and consider it an honor to serve as your Branch Chair and I look forward to meeting and hearing from as many branch members as possible.

If you have any queries, issues, thoughts or ideas but cannot attend a meeting please feel free to contact me or any one of the Executive Committee members who will be only too willing to help, after all, the Branch is there to represent all its members.
