Excellence Awards

Our Excellence Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of volunteers, members and committees worldwide throughout IOSH. They recognise engaging others inside and outside the profession with occupational safety and health issues.

Excellence Awards 2017

This year IOSH revamped its annual Excellence Awards, dividing it up into three categories to match those strands and reward the efforts made by the networks.

The awards were handed out at the annual dinner following the close of IOSH 2017 on Tuesday 21 November at the ICC in Birmingham, UK.

The winners were as follows:

Food and Drink Industries Group (enhance)
The group picked up the award for the impact its joint working with fellow industry bodies has had.

Northern Ireland Branch with Rural Industries Group (collaborate)
A campaign devised to raise awareness of the most common fatalities in farms in the UK and Ireland won this category.

Offshore Group (influence)
The Offshore Group’s project to use collaboration and technology to raise its profile with key stakeholders around the globe was deemed to be highly influential.

Other entries in the awards were received from Singapore Branch, Hazardous Industries Group, South Cumbria and North Lancashire Branch in collaboration with Rural Industries Group, South Wales Branch and Yorkshire Branch.
