Macmillan Cancer Support

By 2020 almost half of the UK population will have a cancer diagnosis in their lifetimes. If you are an employer, the chances are you will have to manage cancer in the workplace – whether it is an occupational cancer or not.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical and financial support to people affected by cancer so that no-one faces cancer alone. But we know that it shouldn’t stop there, which is why we now work with employers directly too, to help them prepare for and manage the impact of cancer at work.

We welcome IOSH’s No Time to Lose campaign, recognising not only its aim of raising awareness of occupational cancers and how to prevent them, but also focusing on the important role work can play in supporting people living with cancer – returning to work can be hugely positive.
